You're not alone. I don't care much for it, either...

I'm with Drummergrl... I think it's cool. I remember when Ludwig switched their Oyster finishes to the bowling ball style and I hated it as much as I hated Psychodelic Red, but looking back at these finishes with fresh eyes, they seem less irritating and more acceptable as they typify that era well, just as the Top Hat & Cane typifies the '30s.

Very nice W&A set and I hope the seller does well.

Being a child of the 60's and a teen in the 70's, I'm partial to anything with Flower Power, like the Rogers Wine Red Ripple or Pink Strata, or maybe the Gretsch Satin Flames. Anything out of the ordinary. I think the Bowling Ball Blue is groovy, man! Anybody for some Boone's Farm Apple Wine?

Blue oyster (cult) fan here. Of this type, not the Ludwig 60s faded undiscernable version. Perhaps my favorite wrap. Well, second fav. Pink oyster Rogers is #1.

Larry, I see you have a Gretsch Renown 57 kit in Blue and White! I was born in the Year of the Chevy, 1957, and LOVE that kit! Might have to get one as my #2!

I'm not a fan of the 'bowling ball' wraps myself. But that's a very nice kit. Good eye, Julia.

Thanks for sharing.
