I have to agree with Ploughman concerning his view of vintage Rogers drums.I also have to say,the virgin thing is WAY out of control,and more drum fashion than functional.As far as value is concerned,if it was made that way,and left the factory that way,then a virgin drum will be more valuable.Originality...is what makes the difference.
As far as your drum,in reality,once the holes are drilled,its done.You can't undrill a hole.Patching a hole,does NOT make it virgin.The only thing that can make that drum a virgin tom,is a time machine.You would have to go back in time and custom order it that way.
Leave the drum alone.There are fewer and fewer vintage drums in original condition,and THAT'S where the most value is.You can't upgrade vintage drums,no matter what you do.If you must sell it,sell it to someone who will appreciate an original piece,and not some Frankenstein "upgrade"
