The knob depends on the era of the drum. In the mid-late 70s, the knob had many splines around the diameter. They later smoothed it out in the late 70s/early 80s.

I might have one I can pull from another drum (genuine Pearl part I put in a cheap snare). PM me and let me know.

Here's another pic. The original Pearl part had a white pad rather than black.

I've probably got both kinds of knobs, and probably have the rest as well. The pad was white during the 70s.

As a probably much cheaper alternative, the Pearl internal muffler that Musician's Friend sells for $4.99 fits the holes...
