If I am correct, Slingerland used two sifferent types of mufflers in the Sound King. Earlier used a bent rod with a rubber tip on the end that went through the spring metal to adjust. The newer style wss attached to the spring metal witha clip thst would slide to adjust.

As I am beginning to take mine apart, want to validate thatthe hardware is at least correct for the period. I have, what I described, as the earler style. My serial number is 147xcc.

Do zi have the right one? Idate this snare at late 1973-somewhere early to mid 1974when they alrrady switched to COS hoops.
