I came across a partial Ludwig kit..

The 12" & 13" toms and 14"snare match (blk cortex wrap).

Green n Olive badge (3ply) Clear interiors..shells in good shape..

22" bass is White,I'm thinking later series (speckled interior)..

I'm going over in an hr....Help.!

Would feel better if I knew what I'm buying..thxs.

Rims..

Does the tom that has the skins off Look to be MIJ.? bottom lugs look off..& diecast hoop...wood grain.?

The other tom looks dark inside..? 6ply..?

Hope the snare is what I hope she is,...!

The bass and one tom are 6-ply shells, the other rack tom is a nice 3-ply clear maple shell. Can't see inside the snare so can't comment. Looks like a partial 'mix & match' kit. Offer $200. to $250.

Hmmm, they 'look like' Slingy lugs! But I don't think Slingy lugs would fit the Ludwig lug holes so 'maybe' it's just an optical illusion! Bad lighting, bad angle, you'll have to see them in person to know for sure. And yes, nice set of cast hoops... $100 all by themselves.

The brass brings up the value some, but I'd haggle him down to $275. to $300. for the lot. You can argue, non-original hardware (if the lugs turn out to be something other than Ludwig) and the fact that the kit is incomplete and not an original set of drums. It's a mongrel that is 'thrown together' from different kits.

Good luck. Nice quality drums. Hope you can snag them for a good price.

The snare appears to be a legit Jazz Festival (8 bowtie lugs, blackface P-83 strainer but I can't see the number of holes for the snares). That snare would also be worth the $300 price John suggested, if it were detailed and resold on eFlay. But also, as John said, we would need to see inside the snare drum to be sure...

I also see the "wrong" lugs on the bottom of that tom. That doesn't automatically mean MIJ if it could also be a converted concert tom and whoever did the conversion didn't bother to get the correct lugs. However, I do seem to be sensing vertical grain on the inside. But I've learned you can't read too much into poor quality photos.

Hope you found good things when you got there.

That small black tom don't look like ludwig to me. It looks like the grain of the wood is going vertical. If thats so, definitely not ludwig.

I see vertical grain on that tom also. The others seem legit, but mis-matched, as already pointed out. Let us know how you made out.

Buy the lot if the Jazz Festival is legit and in good shape.

Flip the other drums for what you can and keep the Jazz Fest.

The MIJ tom might make a good planter.....:)

Yeah,I agree the Jazzfest is the gem in that mish mosh. The 3 ply tom isn't Ludwig for sure.If it was a genuine Blue/Olive badge 3 ply,the interior would be maple with maple re rings. The other 6 ply drums aren't as desireable.Even at say 350,if you sold the other tom ,bass and cymbals, and kept the snare ,you'd make your money back.
