Craig Lauritsen Cymbals for sale Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Craig made these two wonderful rides for me late last year and we've been inseparable since then. I even took them with me to Senegal in July and played them in the streets of Dakar for two weeks, so they're infused with some super bad African mojo, if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm moving to NYC this fall so I'm putting most of my gear up for sale to raise funds, so these beautiful babies are on the chopping block too. If they don't sell I'll be totally cool with that.

$550 each + ship.

22" Lauritsen Turk Top 2154g. I asked Craig to make me a turk-top that had the clicky stick character of a turk ride but without it being super dry, and without the super narrowed spread that turk cymbals usually have. Craig delivered wonderfully. This one has one of the most beautiful edge crashes I've ever heard.

Here's Craig's original soundfile...

22" Lauritsen Old Stamp Clone with Turk Bottom.

This is one of the first Old Stamp Clones Craig made. Pretty much the perfect ride in every respect. Woody stick, trashy shanks, always well in control due to the turk bottom and low profile. I drilled it for six rivets and the sizzle compliments the super dark character really well. I played this one during a rainstorm in Senegal when I was performing with the late Sabar master Doudou N'diaye Rose, and it's nice and dirty from that date.
