I've found good deals on CL. I found a Mid-60's Rogers BDP Luxor in almost perfect condition for $75 and a 1970 Ludwig Acrolite in brand new condition for $100. You have to weed through a lot of posts, but every once in awhile something interesting goes up for sale.Remember, also practice safe Craiglisting. ;)-Tim

I could have sworn your post said "you have to have weed".

Freudian slip or dyslexia? You decide.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I have found almost everything in my vintage collection on CL dirt cheap. My champagne sparkle Ludwigs, premier resonators, 2 acros, numerous a Zildjian cymbals, 6 1/2x14 supra phonic, 58 gold sparkle Ludwigs, my PDP kit,

Gretsch Catalina jazz kit, Rogers Londoner kit. all this in the last 3 1/2 years. I think because people move here to retire, then when they get older they want to get it out of the way, or don't play them anymore. There is a beautiful 20" 65 Ludwig silver sparkle bass drum on there right now in my area I would love to have but broke right now.

You're so right, johnnyringo! We can also ignore grammar, puncuation and syntax! It is 2013 though. I suppose little details in the English language don't mean too much anymore. Sad.

Just a drummer who loves all things about vintage drums! Nothing more, nothing less.

Subtleties are lost on some! But just listen to a country song, blues song, or forget about it, rap/ hip-hop!! Grammar goes out the winder!

Just to quote a few: "Is you is or is you ain't"

and “When you cheated girl, my heart bleeded girl.” and "honky tonk badonkadonk" and “Yo, We at war,We at war with terrorism, racism, and most of all we at war with ourselves, God show me the way because the Devil trying to break me down” and one of my favorites from the Eagles, "Well, my time went so quickly, I went lickety-splitly, out to my ol' 55" - at least it rhymes!!!

I suppose we can all use a little spell check, and grammar check now and then! I think you can get a good price on a dictionary and thesaurus on Craig's List.

And what's another word for thesaurus?
