From The Ploughman

The issues with Gator cases have been resolved. The glue thing affected one case line. It has been a while since. This is not a continuing problem. Its hard to believe there are still cases out there with people who do not know after this long.

Probably they are still on second hand market, that's why.

Wow. Kudos to Gator for digging up an old thread and spreading the word.My two cents: I have used Protechtor cases and NEVER had a problem with them.

I just sent pictures of my Gator cases that were in this series. There's no indication of the problem in either of them but they are sending me new cases anyway.

1971 Ludwig Rock Duo set in Blue Oyster Pearl
early Mapex dual bass drum Saturn kit
1964 Leedy Ray  Mosca kit in Blue Sparkle
1959 Slingerland Super Gene Krupa snare in WMP
1968 Slingerland Hollywood Ace Snare Drum
1969 and 1977 Ludwig 400 Supraphonic snares
1965 Acrolite snare
Ludwig Coliseum snare
'68 Rogers Dynasonic snare
Pearl free floating piccolo snare
13" Mapex piccolo snare
6.5" deep Mapex steel snare
Mapex 6.5" Brass snare
I know there's more snares than that.
UFIP cymbals / Avedis Zildjians
Ghost pedals or Tama King Beats

Well it's good to know that they are still dealing to some extent with the problem.. I am sure there will be some of those cases still out there in use & causing damage..

(I only "regurgitated" this post because I was horrified at some of the damage in those pics)... That Sonor set was real bad...

Cheers

John
