crimped beds ludwig Last viewed: 19 hours ago

Has anyone ever come across a supra with the crimped snare beds but with a ludalloy shell? I was under the impression only the brass shells got the crimps, but now I've seen a shell that has some pitting like a ludalloy with the crimps...what gives?

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I have one as well. Pre serial badge, red BB muffler, & crimped beds but a Ludalloy shell. I was a bit disappointed when I figured out it wasn't brass (in the store that had it at a pretty cheap price) but it's still a great sounding snare drum so I bought it anyway.
