Yah, those thin boxes would provide no protection at all, but if your cymbal doesn't arrive in 30 minutes or less, it's free!
Touche' Laughing H
I reckon I'd be more concerned if my pizza showed up in cymbal box..
Cheers
I had some drum hoops and parts shipped to me in a pizza box. Everything was well wrapped and fine. I got a chuckle out of it and it was a new pizza box. Kinda funny. :D Before I opened it I was half expecting it to be a used pizza box and hoping for no anchovies!! Laughing H
Rod oh man that's the worst getting a used pizza box. Uggg hope it wasn't summer time it would reek.
Pizza box is ok... if packed right. I had a cymbal shipped to me in a Remo head box! It was not damaged...but Damn!
Besides....I am an Evans guy you fool!
PLus you might get a coupon with it for $10 off your next purchase!!!!
I Just hope I dont get a cymbal with Anchovies on it
If they are in plastic bags, cant slide around and have xtra padding at the edges where they contact the inside of the box, I don't see a prob.
Kinda cool actually. To bad they don't arrive in 30 min or free.
The boxes we get em in from Sab and Zil aren't much more than pizza boxes anyway.
p.s. head box is a bit skimpy though, imho.
Last few cymbals I shipped out I did so in a pizza box. I glued bubble wrap to the top, bottom and sometimes sides. I used extra padding on the top and bottom of the cymbals and used the foam pipe insulation around the edge of the cymbal and wrapped the entire cymbal in bubble wrap. So far so good!
So people are shipping pies in pie boxes. Do they come with drum sticks or bread sticks?
