My Ludwig BD has the standard P1610D mount for dual toms. I don't use it to mount my toms any longer. If I use both toms, the tom holder fits nicely into the bottom section of one of my Hercules cymbal stands. If I use one tom, I have a Pearl s1000 stand for it. The issue is having that underutilized mount sitting there for no earthly purpose. it would also eliminate packing a standard cymbal stand. I was going to purchase an L-shaped cymbal holder and insert the small horizontal piece into the tom holder where the tom's existing l-shaped bar is but I saw a photograph of a custom set and there is a dual pivotal cymbal holder inserted into the top of the BD. It's not a Ludwig BD mount but I would imagine the diameter of the hole is the same size. Any ideas?
