When iam picking out any cymbal. Two questions i ask myself. what kind of music iam going to play and what does it sound like.

You can have 4 of the same size cymbal made by the same marker and they will not sound alike....

My rule is if i fine a cymbal that i really like the sound of i will not sell it.

Thats why i have over 400+ vintage cymbal's in my colletion....Mikey

Can't go wrong with an old Swish. I use one for accents and usually hit it fairly lightly high up on the stick (closer to my hand) for subtle, dark accents.

I have an old 12" Zil from around '65. Its sound is amazingly right on for rock, blues and jazz.

23 and 24 inch cymbals are quite rare, but you run into 22 inchers alot more. I would never buy a cymbal case that could not hold a 22. I would want that option to buy a 22 if one came along that I wanted. Otherwise - you will be regretting this purchase bigtime.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!
