I don't know would be easy to make your own vault Or to buy one
I seen there price's on them ,Heck pretty high ...
ATA quality one would utilise 1/2" plywood, then some aluminium 90 degree stuff as well as some corner bits and some ATA-spec latches, hinges, and the like. How good are you at the building of stuff? If you're a novice, then you should just buy an Anvil case. Anvil is plenty spendy, but it will be better than ANYTHING you could make.
Not trying to discourage you, just letting you know what's out there. If you can do better than Anvil, then PLEASE make a case!!! They are the only serious game in town...

I am not really up to date on something like this at all ....I just want to try to build my own box .if i could

Okay- Anvil are the only case you probably *can't* make- all the others are crap in comparison.
You will need 1"x2" or 1"x4" boards, as well as 1/2" plywood and aluminium angle. You will want a threaded rod to secure your cymbals. You want your case to be 1" *squared* larger than your biggest pie. Maybe a carriage bolt that mimics a cymbal stand threaded bit. Those bits are available from a few sources. Try Carvin, as they supply lots of DIY for amp cabinets and the like.
Google Anvil cases- they are the BEST. But you could make something almost as good IF NOT better if you work on it.
Not trying to discourage; actually trying to ENCOURAGE you.

Nsra65 - I have an Anvil fiber cymbal case (holds up to 24" cymbal) you can have for $50. shipped. It is in excellent condition. Straps are A-1. PM me if you're interested. Unless you're a cabinetmaker and have all the tools and hardware you'll need on-hand, it's going to cost you more to build one than to buy one.
John
Thank's
But i don't need one that big .only big size that i have is a 20 inch .....
Got a
20 inch , 2 -18 inch's , 14 inch hi hats , 16 inch ,
If it were me, I'd take the deal!!! You can't touch a new Anvil for anywhere near $50, and you'll spend more in materials than that!!!

I just like to try to make my own box .....
Shouldn't be that hard to make .Heck i got the wood and hings and stuff to do it with here ..
I think pine is little liter ...
It shouldn't take that long building a box to put your cymbals in .Now should it
Go for it!!!!
