Deciphering Ludwig shell tag date code Last viewed: 37 minutes ago

My recently acquired Ludwig Super Classic kit has a tag in the 9x13 tom that shows the model number and the date code. The date code reads 60717 Anyone know how to tell the actual date? Sure would have been easier if Ludwig just kept to stamping the shells!

You're lucky it has either the stamp or the tag, most have neither.

It is cool that the tag is still on the shell! I know there is someone here who knows how to read these. I'm pretty sure it's a 1971.
