I kit i'm acquiring/buying/obtaining&purchasing is a '94 built (one of the 1st kits i think), 10 12 14&20" BUT NO SNARE! :(.The price DIDN'T inc a snare oh well, SLeishman makes :aluminium, bronze&copper along with wood shells(i've NEVER actually liked wood shell drums), &yes i've owned 1-2 in my life.I've asked them to quote me on a 5.5 steel snare. The sale ALL depends on whether or not MY sale of my Luddy Centennial "Zepp" kit goes thru. The "buyer" off fee/prey bay hasn't actually/physically paid for the kit yet even after 3 messages&one "invoice".I'm beginning to think the "sale" is bogus/fake! :(, HOPE not!, as i've lost over $1K off fee/prey bay to date! :(.

> Don Sleishman during the 60's, invented and developed the double kick pedalDid not know that! Selling the design must have made him a fortune! Did he ever manufacture a Sleishman dbl. pedal himself? All you ever hear about are the major US and Asian made brands.John
To the best of my knowledge the pedal was released about 1972, he had travelled to Asia with his designs and I do not know the details of his patents/ profits etc, but I believe he was somehow short changed. The pedal is still produced as far as I know, a unique design. He was playing prototypes around 1965 at the time I was taking some tuition from him. Don was one of Australia's top drummers of the time, he played with many International acts including Sinatra, he was resident drummer at Sydney's top Leagues Club for over a decade.. Also an inventive genius. I recall a modified Ludwig outfit that sort of collapsed into a trolley type "wheel in wheel out' kit for Mall/Shopping centre gigs.
Cheers

Wow! That's some design! The guy really thinks outside of the box. Very ergonomic set-up. Plants both feet -naturally- on the floor. Thanks for posting the link...

PS - Those are one-piece footboards. Joe Morello used to recommend one-piece footboards for flat-footed heel/toe guys, (like me!) Not surprised to see them incorporated into this beautifully designed piece of equipment.
