Believe they sell wholesale only. You need to order about 500 sheets. Might talk to them about some end runs. Sometimes they have pieces left over from an order, but don't know if you can get them to sell them to individual.

All the places that sell wraps...Precision, Jammin Sam, drum supply house, etc. ALL sell the same wrap and it's all made by Delmar. (Some of these folks are starting to carry some alternative wraps, but the sparkles, pearls, onyxs, glitters etc. are made by Delmar.)

They all sell the same wrap, so one company's bermuda sand or blue sparkle is the same as the others.

Drum and some sells it

Rich mentioned Bermuda Sand. Does anyone know where to find any of that? Precision and the others have discontinued it.

Best thing to do would be to call around. They may have remnants, but not enough to do a full kit.

Precision now has "modern bermuda sand." It's not the same as the old: the pattern isn't as dense and it's a little darker. So, if you're trying to match something up it won't match. But if you're just looking for a stand-alone drum or doing a full set, it's OK. It's what Gretsch is using on the Catalina set that they offer. I got a sample of it from Precision.

The last time I talked to the folks at Precision (Gary?), Delmar had a few sheets of the old in stock, but it would take around $250 a sheet (24x54) to get it. You might try there. That was 6-8 weeks ago.

I was able to buy one small sheet from Jammin Sam. Enough to do a 5.5x14 snare drum and I paid $50 just for it.

Thanks for info. I'm not trying to match up. I, unfortunately, will need to re-wrap my "new" sparkling green pearl Slingerland kit. The FT has been re-wrapped already - and what a terrible job was done! - and the BD has what looks like blotches of black mold under the wrap. I've considered going back with green because the original wrap has really grown on me - and I've never been a big fan of green. It's a really nice, bright green. However, today's sparkles just don't compare. So, I've really been wanting a champagne sparkle and I think that is about as close as I'll be able to get, unless someone has a stash of it. ;)

About the green sparkle -- I never cared for it much until I started looking into it with a potential customer. Then some other members started posting some pics and making some positive comments in another recent thread and I'm seriously considering rewrapping a set of 3-ply Ludwigs I've got ready to go whether I complete that particular deal of not. I've gotten excited about the green sparkle!

As for the champagne sparkle, it has ALWAYS been a favorite of mine and always will be. My second set that I bought new in 71 (or maybe 72) was a Ludwig Rock Duo set in champagne pink. Lost that set in an accident after a gig and that's how I ended up with my Pearl W-FG set. The problem with that wrap, however, is that it actually had tiny sparkles of silver and copper in it, so it's VERY EXPENSIVE to produce.

I'm not sure what's in the "modern bermuda sand" that Precision sells and what Gretsch uses. But I did see a Catalina Set at the Guitar Center in Wichita last fall, and I was so "notalgically taken" I almost pulled out my credit card! So, my Jet repro I've got ready to wrap is PROBABLY going to get it...

BTW -- I'm glad I made you and your wife chuckle in the gallery thread (that was you, wasn't it?). When I typed that, I caught it only as I was typing -- so that's why the "that didn't sound good" comment, then I just kept going!
