How bout this, I have my work glasses and my good glasses. I take my work glasses off several times a day so I can see up close, but sometimes I forget where I laid them, so I have to go get my good glasses to find them. If I cant find my good glasse then, well it takes a while.

And like Creighton said, I waste a lot of time looking for a tool that I just used five minutes ago, lol!

Thank you!

I just read this whole thread with the dread that someone had left their kit at a gig.

> Lost my 62 Chevy Suburban for two days at The Ohio State University

I fell out of my chair laughing when I read this because I remember those cars!

That's not only hilarious, I believe we have a winner! The 62 Chevy Suburban was a BIG HONKING STATION WAGON! They were also so tall, you'd be able to see it sticking up above all the other cars from several miles away. Just so the younger guys can get an idea of what we're talking about here, this is the 62' Chevy Suburban:

It's like losing the Chrysler Building!

Thanks for the laugh. That has to be the best story so far. Falling Do

Last July, my wife and I had to drive to a gig directly from our workplaces in separate cars. The gig was about an hour away for both of us and we were coming from opposite directions. Finished playing, loaded our instruments into my Jeep, and both rode home in my Jeep, completely forgeting the wife's car at the gig. I didn't realize it until we arrived home, opened the garage door and said, "Hey, where's your car?"

And it's getting worse with each birthday. Just the other day... Uhm, just the other day... Uhhh.... I forgot what I was about to say. Never mind.

I just read this whole thread with the dread that someone had left their kit at a gig.Phew!

We/I, once left a 70's Stratocaster in an open air hotel car park which was adjacent to a busy suburban railway station. Got a call from the hotel around 9am the next morning that a guy on his way to work had handed it in.. I had not unloaded my van and we probably would not have known until the next gig..

Cheers

Yes it did..

Not so lucky, when after a Christmas eve gig in the city, we had temporarily hung our new formal band suits (each tailor made) on the roof racks of a band trailer, (temporarily as they would be loaded in last).. Then drove off having forgotten about them.. all we were left with after the 30km trip home were a couple of coat hangers..

Cheers

That explains the reports of 5 Aborigine gentlemen that were spotted heading north all wearing powder blue polyester jumpsuits with black felt lapels! LOL

Hey Purdie.. you must be physic... They were in fact powder blue.. no black lapels though..

Reminds me of something else... We were playing regular Pacific cruises with P&O lines out of Sydney.. It was decided as part of our self promotion to print band T shirts and girls bikini briefs with the band name & logo. The idea was to sell the shirts for profit but to give away the knickers as dance prizes :) ;) . On the first night at sea our sack of "Knickers" was stolen from behind the kit after hours..

It was an inside job for sure..

We always visualized some of the (mainly Indian), crew of stewards and waiters running around the crews quarters wearing those tiny little ditties...

Cheers

:)Yeah that's the one Purdie. I loved that old truck... mine was a panel delivery so no windows in the back. It was a painting crew truck so it was painted all blue, grill, bumper all blue... we called it "The Blue Mule"

I bought it in Oregon for $120 to drive back to Ohio. Drove it out to Cannon Beach, OR then turned around and drove it all the way to Rockport MA... literally coast to coast.

I was freaking out when I couldn't find it... I'm thinking nobody is going to steal that truck... finally found it where I had left it, over on west campus... like finding a lost pet. :)

Not a Guru... just interested..
