Those are nice and look like they could be easily cobbled together in a work shop!
Display Case for Snares Last viewed: 32 minutes ago
To answer your question, yes it is very sturdy. The hardware is solid and the glass is high quality. You're down to how many snares Lucky? Shame on you .. :)=kellyj
Well , now that I have my "New Fave" I will be playing it exclusively!
Should hold me over for a while.
I'm so glad you like it! Do you have a photo to share of it?
Wow that is very nice. I think I will pick one up. I have a few vintage pedals that would look cool in there along with the snares that are currently being played.
Thanks!
I was on Ikea's site and found this display case, similar to the other one, but somewhat less money. Looks like it would work for four snares:

So I went to IKEA today and picked up two of the display cases. Thanks for the heads up as they do display the drums well. However it should be noted that the door needs to be off in order to put the drums in or out of the case.

OK I got the second one together and although it's tight I have managed to pull the snare drums out and put them in with the door on. Maybe I need to mess with the first one a bit more or it could be that Ludwig Super that's causing the problem.

hi all,I was in IKEA the other day looking for book shelves and I came across this glass/metal display case with a nice door that opens and even locks! It displays 7 snares very nicely with 5 enclosed in glass. It measures exactly 16" across so the drums fit perfectly with little wiggle room. Only $149. I don't work for IKEA and I'm not trying to promote one of their products. But this for the $$ is very nice! http://www.flickr.com/photos/50144458@N03/5860691083/Cheers!-kellyj
Is this the case in question? http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60128562 If so, it's down $20! My girlfriend says we should buy two!!
