I have a Yamaha 1980's Style badge Black wood snare. Model S0098 Ser# NM0469. It's 8x14 and the interior finish is natural it has 10 lugs.

I got one just like it but mine is a 6 1/2x14. It's one of my go-to snares. The piano finish is shot so I'm sending it off to Presision Drum Co. to have it recovered in WMP. I'd love to hear what the 8" deep one sounds like.

That is the problem for me, I'm not sure if I want to part with it as I have had it for 30 years now. I switched to Bass guitar so now it's a show piece of sorts for me. I guess my decision would depend on how much someone would want to give me for it.
