Hi!
I have an old drum, and I was wondering if you could help me find out what it is, how old it is and what it may be worth? I can not find any stamps or anything else either.
Seems like a mystery to me.. I've seen similar snare drums, but they usually had some sort of identification, i.e.--badge, engraving, etc.. 4 wing nut tensioned snare drum is a first for me.. I have only seen six tension rods..You might have a European snare drum in your possession, but i can't be sure.. Possibly brass ?.. You may want to check out vintaedrumguide.com for any sort of info.. It also looks to be pre WWII.. The worth depends on the rarity or scarcity of the drum itself.. Good luck with your search and let us know how turns out ! :))
The only one I've seen like that was called a bower drum, it's in the rob cook book, but other than that I don't know I'm no expert.
What is the diameter and depth?
Diameter 12" and depth is 4"
could it be a toy drum?
Wonder if it is missing a couple of tensioners. (Whatever it is....)
