Does anyone Know How to Remove Paint From Leedy Temple Blocks? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

I have a bit of a problem, that I'm hoping someone can give some advice on.

Anyone who owns Leedy temple blocks, knows how difficult it is to keep the paint from cracking and falling off, where you strike them.

My main question is-- how do you take the old paint off, safely?

Is it safe to use a hair dryer or heat gun, or will adding heat to the wood alter the pitch of the block?

Please someone?

Thanks

You might check in with the Luthier at your best local guitar shop or maybe give Stewart MacDonald a call http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Finishing_supplies.html. I would think stripping temple blocks would be somewhat like stripping an acoustic guitar. That's all I got... guitar2
