Ok here's what I got, a 18, 12, 14, 5.5 snare. The drums were stripped of the wrap, except the snare (which is red). Right now there a very nice maple, no lacquer or anything, bare maple. The grain looks quite nice, but Im not a maple fan. 1st is there anything I could or should put on the maple? Eventually I will wrap it or lacquer it. Ive heard tung oil? I do not want something that will effect the sound, or have to be removed later. Maybe I should start another thread on that. So Im taking suggestions or advice on what to do, who to do it, how to do it etc.? Im leaning burgundy or copper mist. Should I keep the snare red and look for 1 thats rewrapped? JC I have another kit I was working on where I got a gretsch walnut bass and was trying to match a set of toms to it, maybe down the line I could get you to do the job. It sounds like youd be the guy to do the stain. Thanks
