From Tinman

There is a clear Vistalite Big Beat set just before the two hour mark.

Shots of the Ludwig sets in the movie...

I'd like to see a shot of that DW set. Why would they go through the trouble of finding the period-correct Ludwig sets, and then throw in a DW set? Makes no sense.

Also a little off topic.. But a few years ago we saw the Australian stage production of Jersey Boys. It was a great night and a dear friend of ours was playing piano/keys and was also the standby MD. After the show we had a backstage pass to meet the cast and check out the staging. I was quite intrigued with the computer controlled drum risers which propelled the two kits on-off stage and at times doing 360's whilst in action.. Crazy.. One of the kits was a period correct set of Ludwigs and the other I cannot recall the brand but looked right for the show.

Our friend also got to meet Frankie Valli which was another highlight of her career...

Cheers

John

I think Salty 1322 is correct that the Four Seasons used hired drummers for the most part, although later on when they were in the era of their tune Late December 1963, the drummer is a lead singer. Perhaps he was a member at that juncture.

Nice shot of the black Ludwigs mchair.
