From Purdie Shuffle

> I'm probably nuts but to me it feels like there's a difference. Not at all. Been doing the exact same thing myself for 50 years. Because I'm right hand dominant, I usually like to designate which ever one is the heavier of the two, no matter how slight the difference, for my left hand. For some reason, one stick always sounds a little better on the cymbals than the other. That one becomes my right hand stick. I check to make sure I have righty and lefty sorted out before I start to play. If it's 'crazy,' then, you're not alone.John

Ahhhh glad to hear I'm not the only one. I've never really asked before and it's just something I've done for years too. Didn't know if it was just a weird quirk I have or it's the norm. I'll cancel my therapy session this week. ;)

i do the same guys. them logs i got, (lol) well one has red marker on it from my grandson and that is the one that always went in my right hand and i could actually feel the difference when they got switched around, i'd take a look and sure enough the marked one would be in the wrong hand. i thought this was just me but guess not. now that i think about it, i think maybe my grandson planned it that way, maybe that is why he marked on just the one. he would bang on my drums when i had them at his house.

Holy Moly 2b's I am late to this dance but i use them to beat off muggers... seriously sticks have become expensive but i used to use a stick called a reagal tip even back in the 60's now i use Vic Virth they just seem to last and last, I use 5A'n and I will use the right hand stick with the tip forward and turn around the left hand stick and use the fat end for my snare.... I play loud guess cause i can't hear.. :)

whew! Clapping Happy2 glad I'm not the only one too! I can always feel the difference and like John, play with the heavier one in my left hand.
