I bought this ludwig bass drum to resale a few weeks ago. But my cat thinks that this is a really good place to hang around in. So I put one of her toys through the tom mount hole she thinks it's a big hit !!Anyone else have this happen to them?

I have an old Star snare shell sitting on a blanket on a floor tom in which one of our cats loves to sleep. I don't have the heart to move the shell. Patches seems to have more use of it than I do!

Oh good another pet vs drum thread. Yes, our cats love my drums too. Once I had a kick with a big porthole and sure enough, Cheetacat found it and in she went. Did not have the camera at the time, too bad. But I remember a while ago we had a thread on pets and drums and it was fun to see every-ones pictures.

Thank you!

I love cats and have three in the house but no acoustic kits set up here.Over 30 yrs ago i used to teach at a friend`s house in the basement and his cats decided they liked to urinate in my bass drum.Who know`s why they took to it in this manner as their kitty litter, but took forever to get the scent out.

Wayne don't feel bad. One of my cats, Bootsie used to like to sneak into the basement so he could poop on the rug behind my drum throne. It was hell to keep him out of there too! I went through -three- drum rugs while Bootsie was alive. Once he went on it, it was gone. It was his way of critiquing my drum playing I suppose. Every once in awhile I'd find a little pile of drum critique behind my throne. My current cat, Cootie can care less about my drums. She's completely indifferent about them.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

My dog used to get inside my bass drum. He's in doggy heaven now, but this thread reminded me of how he used to do that. If I could fit in there I'd sleep there too. Come on, we all would! That gentle contour would be just like a hammock. :D
