Hi all, I would make this little topic because I just found a site that offers to download in "open source" dvd great drummers (Tony Royster Jr., Benny Greb, Aaron Spears John Blackwell ...) which are currently very difficult to find on the web. You will find a multitude of DVD that is available demos, concerts, ensembles, technical advice and lessons of the greatest drummers of the world in all styles!

For those who would be interested in the site is still under construction but we can already start downloading some free dvd go for it, here's the link to the site ... http://drumsaddict.wordpress.com/

Site to turn to all drummers, a real gold mine!

Good luck to all ... band3

What do you mean by "open source" videos? Are these rips legal?

Unless he has express permission from the producers of the DVD's to post up their product on the Internet for free, he is in violation of copyright laws and *contractual agreements (*royalties and the like,) and as a result, he can be subjected to legal prosecution for monetary restitution.

In other words, without a written, contractual agreement, he can have his pants sued off for; loss of income, and quite possibly, theft of intellectual property. I'm not a lawyer, but that much I can figure out on my own. One can only hope that bread isn't being taken out of the mouths of fellow drummers like; Tony Royster Jr., Benny Greb, Aaron Spears John Blackwell ...

I have been a huge fan of Open Source software for years, having tried many different variants of FreeBSD, Unix, and of course Linux. The concept of Open Source sharing of free software has come a long way, but a reminder that means free, as in free to choose, and as our buddy Spike Lee taught us...free to Do The Right Thing, not free, as in, Free beer! lets get wasted and steel each others hard made work. I went to the link, didn't find any terms of use section or statement that any of this was in the public domain, copylefted

with an invitation from the artist to disseminate freely. I think Purdie nailed it.......you want it? pay the publishing house or Benny their 30 bucks and stop being so cheap. Till somebody comes forward and explains how this site is legit, I for one will be staying away.
