Hi. I recently bought some new DW clamp on spurs for my slingerland bass drum and I have a query about the fitting. As you can see from the attached photo, the curved part of the clamp hooks over the the front of the hoop which is fine. However it seems that if the clamp is tightened, the angled metal rear 'hook', which hooks over the drum head hoop will also dig into the side of the drum. Have any of you used this clamp type and encountered this issue? Thanks. Oh, and a Happy New Year to all.
