Well, I know it's a stretch; but if it were mine and knowing that a period correct one can cost me $100 plus $25 postage, I would absolutely be trying epoxy. Just have to make sure it's flat while it's drying.

Thanks all! Some good ideas here. I may as well attempt the repair and if it doesn't work then,bite the bullet for a new frame.
