Anyone seen these lugs or strainer before?
Early 1900's snare? Last viewed: 47 minutes ago
I haven't but that is one cool drum.

I have a couple of bass drums with those kind of tension rods but have no idea what brand they are the drums have no markings on them.
I don't know about the strainer but I have a couple of Leedy drums with those tension rods and claws.

Forgot to mention. The Leedy drums I have from that era have serial numbers pressed into the hoops where they bear down on the heads. Same number pressed into the shell usually as well.

Thanks guys, I was looking at some of the early makers catalogs and think its a George stone made drum.

Really nice looking drum there! I love the colours......
I have a 1912 (it's in the Gretsch 1912 catalog) snare 3 1/2 x 13 or so. Mine has the same tension system but a different strainer.
Check it out
Thanks Gary, I don't think the finish is original though. It could be but I think it's been painted over its life. You're drum is quite similar except the claws are slightly different and the strainer is way more advanced. Is it a solid wood shell?
