Evening VDFers,
I have an early 80s chrome over wood Ludwig that am trying to pinpoint year. The wrap is riveted down the seem, modular style hardware, rounded B/O badges, but the real give away may be the extra lugs on the 12" and 15" drums which have 8 and 10 respectively. Thanks!

Sure thing, but don't go mental.....I know it's not a Bonham kit, but one of my drumming jobs is with Letz Zep and I just use the 12" rack and the two floors out of this kit sometimes (hence the kick head) He did have a 1979 chrome kit after all so it looks fairly convincing. Check my version of Moby Dick at http://www.benjyreid.com before jumping to any conclusions about 'who the hell does he think he is'.
Believe it or not, the kit has only had one owner.....me. The 18" floor is an add on and the kick was bought new when I found these toms still in the factory sealed bags in the back of a music shop warehouse in Atlanta circa 1987. My drum tec in America did the dastardly deed of sticking legs on the 15" (without me knowing) and yes, he was hospitalised when I found out. Thanks for the help!
