Rockstar DX should have 'Rockstar DX' on the badge. Strange one I was thinking the later Rockstar RS series which replaced DX in about 93 but their hoops had inlays

dukekamaya, the absence of the DX on the badge is what puzzled me too. I purchased them used in 1991.

I'm thinking an early version of rockstar. The bass hoops are like what was on imperialstar and swingstar kits. The plain rockstar kits were 10x12 11x13 not the "extras" that you have (11x12 12x13) I think the plain rockstar kits were Taiwanese. It's possible if the kit was painted the badges were changed too.

The early Rockstars didn't have the long one piece lugs, nor did the first Taiwanese Rockstar the base model RK series from 1989
