Thanks Orange!! That's an interesting pic, are there more like this on the web?

The reso head is just a regular clear Evans head and the previous owner put a logo sticker on.

I've always liked this one of Don and John trying to figure out the Camco hoop making machine, to no avail I must add. It was not until last year with their Tru Hoops that they were able to duplicate the rolled over top edge.

Never play it the same way once.

It's really interesting to find out something about the history of your drums!!

As for the tom mount I think I might go for the DW bass drum single tom mount (the one with the slide, not the rail) and use a STM mount for the 14" tom to cover the holes.

Check this out, looks like a pretty early DW catalogue: [ame="http://www.drumarchive.com/DW/DW_drums.pdf"]http://www.drumarchive.com/DW/DW_drums.pdf[/ame]

The bass drum spurs are the same as my kit has.

If anyone has a spare set of spurs like that (just the actual spurs, not the mounts), Im looking for a pair of them for my zickos kit (they used the same 5/16" square curved stock)

Is it me or does that early catalog shot of the tom holders with the bar look funky to anyone else? I can't believe DW sold them looking like that when I think of Camco's being some of the nicer looking setups. Interesting...

Camcos sour spot was in their hardware. The tom mounts were terrible from what Ive seen.

That bar setup is stupid though, I agree. It has up and down adjustment but no side to side axial adjustment. It looks like the bar was curved so that positioning the mounts at different places on the bar caused them to angle the way you wanted them to..

Still cheesy though

Did you check eBay.com? There's a pair of '70s Ludwig 5/16" spurs right now, looks like they also used the same or at least pretty similar ones.

Yeah they do. I think the curve is a little more or less drastic, but they would work.

I saw a guy that was seling repro 5/16 ludwig spurs for only about 20 bucks on ebay, but I cant find them now

There's only one auction for 5/16" I'm seeing right now and a few 1/2". Since I'm surfing from Germany I don't get all the results unfortunately.
