Check these guys out.

I got some chrome PVC to recover some snares and it's quite nice.

I'm one of those that has used the "credit-card thick" wrap from the ebay guy. 90ish bucks, precut with tape installed. It's a lightly-backed vinyl. It was relatively easy to use, looks good. I've done 50-60 gigs with them and had no issues. Perfect for a Rocker II kit where you don't want to spend hundreds on the wrap.

The sparkle is nice but not as deep as you'd get on a Delmar or especially a glass glitter. If I was working on a kit I loved, or had spent the $$ to get edges done, I'd go higher-end.

That kit looks really sharp. I haven't used the ebay wrap, but I've heard good things about it.

I'm a fan of Jammin Sam's wrap and service; he has sparkle wraps at $150-$200 for a 4-pc kit. He'll send you samples if asked. I'm pretty sure they're delmar wraps and have a pvc backing.

Something to consider.

I only use double-sided tape to aid in positioning the start of the wrap; and I buy that separately on Amazon. I use a spray adhesive for the rest of the wrap. I believe Ludwig uses a spray adhesive according to recent factory photos that I've seen.

I just re-wrapped my Rocker kit with the following:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/TURQUOISE-SPARKLE-PVC-DRUM-WRAP-COVERING-CREDIT-CARD-THICK-YET-VERY-FLEXIBLE-/121859269647?hash=item1c5f60e40f:g:fTsAAOSwLVZVtBk7

They did a great job cutting the wrap for my drums...even did the .5" strip that goes around my bass drum hoops. The adhesive tape was installed on both ends of the wrap. I have no complaints with the wrap, although I haven't had any experience with any other drum wraps. I'm sure there is nicer stuff out there but this did the job and I think my kit looks pretty sweet with this wrap. Note: I haven't had the wrap very long...so longevity is still in question but I don't see why there would be any issues. This wrap can NOT be compared to contact paper...it is decently thick but very flexible. Hope this helps

The guy that sells the wrap I used goes under the ebay moniker of xsable or something like that. He also has a close relative (father in law I think) who is selling the same wrap under a different name. As I mentioned before, this stuff is actual celluloid sheeting imported from China. It is the same thing that drum makers used to use for marine pearl style wraps. It lacks the opaque backing that most modern wraps (with the exception of the vintage oyster pearls) have and therefore is semi translucent. It works just like regular drum wrap and comes in sheets that are just a bit bigger than the standard wrap sheets from Delmar. I glued it in place with 3M 30NF contact cement with no problem. You can "weld" the overlap seam together with acetone if so desired. I painted my dark mahogany shells with a light blue base coat before putting the wrap on, due to the translucence of the wrap. This helped the colors "pop" a bit more. He used to have a pretty good selection of various marine pearl type wraps in several colors but I'm not sure what he's currently offering.

I have no connection with this seller but I did convince him to import the Peacock style wrap. The minumum order was kind of steep (I think the minimum was 50kg of material in whatever particular style) so he took a chance by ordering it. In return I provided him with pictures of my finished drums and gave him permission to use them in connection with his auctions.

I'm very happy with how my drums turned out and would use this stuff again if the right project came along.

The seller that I am getting the sample from (ttalley960) has an auction for Peacock Pearl - and this is the one that has Kevin's Slinger as one of the pics. This must be the relative to the guy who sold it to KO. I can't seem to pull up this seller (xsabre or whatever) as anything that results in my search is a seller with very little activity. I know this one is very active, as I have seen (and probably bought from) this seller. I suppose we will just buy from ttalley960!

I will post in here again when I get my sample in the mail.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!
