Hey, I have a Yamaha DTX500 electronic drum set, and I was wondering if you could buy another drum module, say from a Roland or any other and use it with this drum set? The reason is because the DTX500 doesn't have many of the sounds that I play the songs I listen to, and I know other drum modules have them, so is it possible I could use more than one in the same drum set?

Of course you can use a different module. But I wouldn't waste my money.
What I would suggest (especially since that unit would have at least MIDI out) is to get a nice Audio Interface (like the Fastrack Pro by M-Audio) and EZdrummer. Get a few upgrades (like the metal kits, etc.) and you'll have all the sounds you'll need. Just make sure you use a Mac, as Windows machines are terrible for music applications.

I noticed EZdrummer crashes in windows, and I don't have a mac, also part of the problem is that my computer syas the module doesn't have a driver so it couln't be installed, I don't know if any of those programs could recognize it though, I know a website where I can download many drum sounds and I was hoping I would be able to put them in my drums through the computer but without any program (that I don't know if it would work) I can't do it, but thanks for your help, I got the answer I was looking for :)
There is one old Roland Synth module I used that was a drums and bass module with some cool stuff on it. You can probably get it for about $100 USD on Fee Bay. Just use the MIDI out and go to the MIDI in on the unit.
