I saw these on the Evans web site, and thought how cool would those look on my clear Fibes set I just bought? it would give the appearance of Blue acrylic, I wonder how they sound? anyone play these before>?

In the 70's and 80's, Evans Blue Hydraulic heads were very popular, especially on acrylic kits. Zickos fitted them as standard on their kits.
They offer a subdued, fatter tone due to the two-layer film and small amount of liquid between the membranes.
Steve Gadd made them part of his signature sound.

My nephew tried them on his kit and loves them. He likes that fat thump sound.

I used 'em throughout the late '80s. They produce a fat, flat tone with virtually no sustain. Popular sound for the heavy hair-band music of the time. I've since replaced them with pinstrips. Try one on a tom and see if you like it.
