Thanx Tinman, I'm thinking I have these priced right. We'll see if they sell this time around. Could always do 100 less for forum members instead of paying ebay fees. http://www.ebay.com/itm/231776438081?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
that is a great clean kit I just think the people today have enough vintage drums and the younger ones don't care or know enough about theses to give 2 hoots and the vintage drum market has gone stale, unless you are a low ball wholesaler lol
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Hi Jaghog,
I hope your not correct about the vintage drum market bc I sure do have a lot of drums! Vintage drums are still a bargain. Probably because PPL only have so much room. Think of what you would pay for a top of the line Les Paul or Stratocaster from the 60's and then think of what you would pay for the same year Ludwig, Gretsch, etc drum kit and the difference in the footprint involved. I could probably display about 20 vintage guitars in the same amount of 4x6 space as 1 drum kit.
Here is my reply to 1 question for the seller on this kit. I have deleted personal info for anonymity.
Nice Vistalite set. Hope you get a buyer at your price. I just paid $800 for a complete matching blue set on a local buy. Would love to know they are selling for this much. Good luck!
Hi, thank you for your interest. I based my price on past sales and condition. Not much to go on for blue vistalites in the condition mine are in here on Ebay. Here's a set that had 23 bids to 999.00 with a crack in the bass drum, only 1 original head, and no hardware.

I've also taken into consideration that new Vistalite kits are selling for around 2500 in this color and size. While I bought this kit in great shape, I still have about 20 hours into buffing and polishing the hardware and insides and outsides of these shells and about 100.00 in new heads.
I have relisted this set at 1299. Ebay will charge me about 100 for the ad if they sell. So lets see, 1299 -100 ebay fees = 1199 minus 100 heads = 1099 minus 200? hardware = 899, minus labor ?? What is your time worth? I'd like to think my time is worth about 20 bucks an hour minus 400 = 499. Good Luck bidding!
I have dropped the drums to 1299 and will sell to US forum members at 1199 plus shipping provided you are sending a money order or paying the Paypal fees. Thanx for looking.
