From Wayne Brown

Absolutely amazing and glad someone has the room to store that many kits. How long have you been collecting aa these beautiful drums???-i love them all!!!Wayne

I started out rewrapping beat up sets in 1999 and did pretty well using drums like Pearl Exports and Tama Rockstars but then around 2003 Musician's Friend started putting their catalogue in everybody's mailbox and I quickly figured out that they don't sell vintage drums so I started collecting those with the intent of selling them after refurbishing. I'd buy sets to get a tom and before I knew it I had way more drums than I intended and it hasn't slowed down any! Rewrapping vintage drums appears to be a sin so I started collecting better conditioned drums and now I do have a house full of nice vintage drums. They are all "for sale" but I don't aggressively try to sell them, it's more of a casual thing but since I've retired from my real job I'm thinking that is about to change.

I also just figured out today that I can put multiple pictures on one thread instead of 12 individual ones. I'm not real proficient around a computer which is a major reason why I haven't busted out yet. The day is coming though. And thanks Wayne!

Outstanding! You really should publish a calendar...

Using your timeline, I'm about at 2001. Been retired five years and having a blast cleaning / restoring old drums...
