After 63 years of playing drums, I've decided to retire and sell all my drum equipment...Vintage (1972) Fibes Custom-made (fibreglass) 5 piece drum set in White Marine Pearl ..(I ordered these from Bobby Grausso just as he was selling to Martin guitars)...Drum sizes are::

5 1/2" X 14" Snare Drum (this is the one Buddy Rich played for years and raved about)...8" X 12" & 9" X 13" Bass Drum mounted Tom Toms...16" X 16" floor Tom tom w/legs...14 X 22" Bass Drum w/Fibes spring-mounted spurs & PEARL heavy-duty double T T holders w/cymbal holder...ALL drums will come with and be shipped in Humes & Berg "Enduro" cases; except for the Snare Drum which will be in a padded drum bag inside a H & B fibre trap case w/wheels....will sell the drums and cases for $ 1800.00.. PLUS the buyer pays the shipping costs...will deliver (for free) to a purchaser within 60 miles of Greenville, Michigan

I have a question, does re wrapping a set like a rare Fibes set, does that bring the value down? I have a fibes chrome set also, since I'm anal, and the chrome is not perfect I was thinking about doing the same thing with a wrap, but didnot want to bring the value down.

I just picked up a set of fibes in chrome 24 bass 13,14,16,18. Chrome looks like crap! Shell are perfect any one interested. 1974-5 models. any one interested. I live in Alaska and shipping is crazy unless you ship it as freight.

I maybe interested in putting new wrap on. Think that will hurt the value?

Greyhound buses run to and from Alaska, don't they? Shipping via Greyhound bus is a much more economical way to ship. And, it is a very quick and reliable method. Remember...I said Greyhound bus--not Greyhound truck freight.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

One word YES it will bring down the value of the set.Say the value of the set is 1,000.00 you re-wrap the set now i would think you have a 500.00 set..If the Pearl mounts were added to the set after the Fibes mounts then you would also bring down the value more because of the extra holes...Mikey
