There is a possibility that I can obtain a set of Fibes Red Fivel drums. They look and sound very interestng to me. Is there anyone here who has experience with or first hand knowledge of the Fivel drums? Please share your info with me.

Thanks in advance.

OK. I did the deal. The set is complete except for the chrome trim on the bass drum batter side hoop and one badge. The snare drum sounds great. The bass drum and toms sound very good even with the old heads. The clean-up spiff-up will be a nce Winter project. This set was used by a Houston, Texas drummer named Dennis Allen who played live gigs with Dionne Warwicke, Gladys Knight, and several other R&B acts in the 60s and 70s.

Those are really nice! Looks like a fun clean em up project. It's nice when all the parts are there too! Hey that's pretty cool history on them too! Good stuff there!

I looked online. So far, I haven't found anything about Dennis or any pictures of these drums onstage. I'll keep looking.
