After a month of restoration....stain, laquer, heads, etc...got it where I want it...Had a ball playing it today..on the 4th.

Can check my previous posts on what It looked like when I received it. ITS A KEEPER..Im putting my TamaJazz 4 pc. Silverstar on Craigs List tomorrow. THIS kit has MOJO!Cool Dude

I was previously using a Tama Silverstar kit I bought a year ago. Jazz kit , 4 piece. The bass drum don't compare. Especially to a boomy 22 inch. I like the Ludwig tom better as well as the snare of the ludwigs. The ludwigs are 61-63 Pre serial number Keystone Badges. The 13 inch tom is 1964. Deciced to keep the kit. I showed a pic of the snare to a young guy at Guitar Center..and he wanted to buy it....I was like....Nahhhh.

Great rescue and great job on them. Enjoy them. They look really cool. If you have the room you may want to consider keeping that Tama set for those gigs that can mess up all that work you've done. You know, the ones with the shaky stages or those outdoor gigs in the sweltering sun. Just something to consider before selling that Silverstar.
