Finally, Pics of My Super Sound King Project! Last viewed: 52 minutes ago

Now that it is unwrapped and ready for restoring, here are a couple of "before" pictures. Certainly not my usual collectable snare, but because there aren't many of these, I am looking forward to restoring this and playing it.

Mikey has jumped in to help with the few parts I need. I have a mint muffler/knob to replace the current one. Its just going to be taking it completely apart and cleaning/polishing/detailing best I can. There are some imperfections and scratches that I cannot do anything about but oh well.

A few more pictures, closeups of the strainers. Also, curious what the date would be for thus SSK, #75067?

Thanks!

Based on the badge and serial number, looks like it could have been made in 1973. Are the letters on the badge raised or smooth?

Hi James, thanks.

Just checked the badge and it doesn't look like the lettering is raised...feels smooth to me. Hope that helps a bit with dating it.

Thanks very much.
