First New Blaemire kit completed! Last viewed: 4 hours ago

From the shop…

Here for the first time in a very long time is a brand new set of Blaemire fiberglass concert toms!

This is a copy of Hal Blaine’s Monster kit. We think it appropriate that our first kit is a tribute to Hal and his Monster recording kit. It has Ludwig lugs and mounts. All other Blaemire drums will have Blaemire lugs and mounts.

It represents the first production Blaemire drums built by Jenkins-Martin Drum Company. The Blaemire line is only the first line of drums we will be doing. We will end up using other types of winding materials, including Carbon Fiber.

Can you guess who commissioned and bought this concert tom kit.... :drunken:

I will be taking pictures this weekend with said drummer and this set of concert toms. I will post some "show quality" shots later, but thought it fitting that they be shown from their beginnings.

The 6 piece drum set for the Chicago Drum Show is in process, as are three different sized snare drums.

We are small (for now)...but mighty!

Man, I -knew- you were going to reproduce the Blaine kit! My 'guess' would be either Hal or our friend, Bermuda who bought that set of concert toms.

I'm dying, Jinx. They're beyond beautiful and we all know how great they sound. Excellent job, bud. It's a real treat to see that tom display. How long has it been since Allen made Hal's drums? Gotta be 40 years.

Saving my $ for my kit! I know you'll kill in Chicago. Wait till Maxwell sees them!

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Beautiful work Jerry. Greg said he was sore on Sunday from sanding...the owner of the toms spoke highly of them with a glint in his eye.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

There was alot of blood sweat and tears poured into those drums.......

...........totally worth it though.;)

That is the natural raw finish of our fiberglass. We are doing testing with color and they will look great as well.
