I'm just reading this months rhythm magazine, and in it is and interview with john stainer. (of helmet fame, now with battles. ) anyway, he mentioned that in the studio, he puts small cubes of foam under the floor tom legs, saying that the drum "almost floats". Thought i'll give it a go. Would it make a difference in a live situation, or will it just benefit the studio. Later dudes.

Just buy some cupped FT rubber feet, they work in the studio & live and the FT won't vibrate off the foam rubber. Several folks make them & they're cheep fix to isolation problems.
