Supraphonic. Hard to tell time frame, but appears to be 1968 or newer based upon the style of tone control and P-85 throw.

Collecting information about the following for ongoing research projects:
Gretsch drums with serial numbers,
Ludwig Keystone and B/O badge drums with serial numbers and date stamps,
Ludwig Standards from 1968-73, and
Ludwigs with paper labels from 1971-72

The pitting chrome is a dead giveaway. Can`t fake that.

$80 is a steal, even if the chrome is pitted.. Go for it !

It's in pretty rough shape. So I got him to throw in this 26" beauty. My wife will be ecstatic -- so much less vacant garage space to deal with.

Here's the Supraphonic. think I'll dump it in Oxalic Acid for a year or two.

That's Ludwig large keystone Monroe badge. Circa '85 up most likely.

Thanks, Mike - that's my conclusion, too. This drum keeps looking less and less special :) When I saw the keystone badge, I initially thought it was a 68/69. No such luck.

How about that marching drum, though??? Maybe I'll throw some spurs on it and start a metal band. I'll keep an eye out for a second one so I can go with double 26-inch bass drum setup. Thunderous.
