This is a Sept. 4 1969 date stamp 5x14 8 lug Ludwig Acrolite. Serial number is 748838. These are very popular drums and this one sounds great! Has a nice look overall and has seen some play time. It's complete and has no extra holes. It has one ding on the very front panel near the lug. It has a minute ding on the backside of the drum that is so small I can't get it to show in a pic. The shell is in round and tunes easily. The shell finish is nice overall but has some scuffs/scratches. The worst are right up front in the pics. On the panel with the snare butt, there are two small names done in the shell, previous owners I would think. The lugs have light to moderate pitting. The lugs look newer to me, so I installed the longer lug screws to make sure there would be no potential for breakage down the road. The 69's usually have a P85 strainer. I upgraded this one to a P83 that has the Block logo on it. Works flawlessly but has some cosmetic wear. Has the script logo snare butt. Original hoops have some cosmetic wear. All original tension rods. Round knob muffler works fine. Has a set of new 16 strand snare wires and new Ludwig snare cords. Clear snare side head of unknown brand. May be a Ludwig as it has a nice shallow collar. Fresh Remo Controlled Sound Coated up top. Drum has been completely detailed and is ready to be put in action. I tend to over-describe some of these drums. I just want people to know what they are getting. Please pm me here or email to [email protected] if you have any questions. Thanks for checking it out!
