Have had these for a few years now and need to find them a new home. This is one of my favorite kits in both sound and looks. The Black Lacquer Duco and nickel hardware really give these a classy look I think. These came to me as a 20/12/Jazz Festival Combo. The Combo kits are shown in the '67 catalogs as a 20/12/Pioneer. I have run across several from this era ('66) with the 20/12/JF. Club Dates have the same 3 ply shells as the Super Classics from the same period.

Bass drum is a 14x20 8 lug. Serial number is 319893. Has original paint hoops with some touch ups. The original Silver Sparkle inlay is near perfect. No extra holes or damage. Has the script logo clock face rail mount in the top center location. Also has the shell mount cymbal holder. I also have the complete nickel cymbal arm. Has the disappearing spurs that work great. Finish on the drum is very nice. Currently has a Aquarian Super Kick II batter head and a newer Ludwig script logo factory head with a port. Beautiful white resacote interior. Edges are perfect.

Ride tom is 8x12 and serial number 320371. Drum is very nice condition. There has been some touch up done where the snare most likely made contact over the years of being played. Also has the nice white resacote interior and white felt baseball bat muffler. Bearing edges like new on this one as well.

I later found a matching Black Lacquer factory nickel 14x14 6 lug Club Date floor tom. It is a good solid drum but not quite as nice as the bass and tom. The finish is nice and glossy, but has quite a few touch ups here and there. It is a little earlier having the 93237 serial number. Should be a early-mid '65. Has Nickel over brass hoops and white felt baseball bat muffler. There is one small area of delamination on one of the re-rings that I have seen on many 60's drums. Causes no problems. The nickel on this drum is not as nice as the others having some corrosion on the lugs.

I have the original 8 lug Jazz Festival that came with the bass and ride tom. It is serial number 321981. Beautiful drum with no issues. Newer Ludwig Medium batter and Ludwig snare side head. Original Ludwig metal script logo snare wires. Originally 18 strand that has had one strand clipped. P83 works great. Has white felt baseball bat muffler.

I also found a matching 6 lug Pioneer snare drum in original Black Lacquer and nickel. Another beautiful snare. Completely original including heads, wires and snare cords. Serial number is 361935. Drum has no issues.

I inspected the kit today and have wiped everything down. The nickel will polish up much nicer if you prefer to do so. I completely detailed these when I first got them. Ran out of daylight for some outside pics. In the meantime, please let me know if you need pics of anything in particular. Feel free to pm me here or email to [email protected] if you have any questions. Have hopefully priced these for a quick sell. Thanks for checking them out.
