This is a 16" (15 7/8") Avedis Zildjian Second Stamp (pre Trans Stamp) weighing a very thin 987 grams. These were most likely produced in the early to mid 40's. This is a beautiful cymbal in excellent condition. It's amazing that a cymbal around 70 years old still looks this good. I do not see any hat usage marks. It has an explosive crash and plenty of nice hand hammering. Some of the drummers during this period used smaller cymbals for rides as well. Many are into 16" hi hats these days. Would make a nice top for that purpose as well. the cymbal is very thin and flexible. There are no condition issues that I see. It has not been cleaned or polished and has a nice natural patina. Don't see too many of these around. Hope that someone can use this in their collection/arsenal. Please pm me here or email to if you have any questions. Sound file and pics below. Thanks for checking it out!
