this is a beautiful 1960's Pearl snare drum. I think pearl called this wrap sun set. it is 6 lugs and has a clear interior with re-rings. has a functional round knob muffler. has 20 strand wires and remo heads. the bottom hoop is rounded over at the edges. not sure if its original or not. the snare butt has the cords for the snare wires tied through the two inner holes. may be missing the back piece of the snare butt unless these came like this. otherwise, no issues. it looks and sounds great. the wrap is stunning. this is the way it came to me a few years ago. feel free to pm me here or email to [email protected] if you have any questions. thanks for looking.

thanks..

here is another stunning 60's Pearl. I think pearl called this wrap gold grain pearl. not exactly sure however. it is 6 lugs clear interior with no re-rings. good thick shell. has functional round knob muffler. has 16 strand wires and a new pearl protone batter head. the wrap is stunning and the drum sounds very nice. feel free to pm me here or email to [email protected] if you have any questions. thanks for looking.

That pinkish marine pearl is so beautiful .

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

I am just curious here Mike. Are these two complete/stock? I understand these are 60s Pearls right? Wondering if the knobs are 60s as well?

I am just wondering what year these squared off muffler knob ended its run.

Thanks,

John

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

i'm not up on the pearl stuff. they are complete with the exception of the small piece I mentioned on the snare butt on the sun set model. they are both fully functional. the sun set model has a round knob that is knurled. the gold one has the other style.

these are some seriously nice drums. mid 60's from what I can gather.

I'm surprised these aren't gone! The wrap on that 60's Pearl looks like pulled taffy. I love it. If I didn't have a rack full of snares already I'd snap that one up just for the wrap.

Good luck with the sale bro... be patient, the 'right buyers' will show up.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

One of the problems is that these colors of wrap might be ever so rare (the Pink Pearl moreso than the ......other one, whatever it is called;)

Mike you may have to resort to the bay....but try Reverb first. Those people are great - the exposure will not last long like on the bay, but the volume of exposure (# of views) in the first 48-72 hours will rival Ebay (believe it or not - very impressive). Plus ya gotta love Reverb's 3% commission. I wish all of us drummers would stop using the bay and start using Reverb - but I can be partial and say that because I am not a rep of the forum ;)
