From the info that I've been able to gather, this is most likely a 50's Walberg & Auge 16x14 Floor tom. It is 14" diameter and 16" deep. The drum appears to be all original including the very nice calf heads. The shell appears to be 2ply with 3 ply re-rings. It also has a center reinforcement ring as well. Has brass flange hoops with clips. The drum has a black interior. The tone control is a horizontal mount with round green felt muffler. The lugs are Gretsch Rocket lugs. Some look great and some have some corrosion on them that could be cleaned better than i have done. The legs and mounts are WFL issue. W&A was known to have mixed components on many of their drums. The finish is a black wrap much like Gretsch Black Nitron. It is in fantastic condition. I simply wiped it down with Novus 1 without any polishing at all. The drum is in great shape and sounds amazing. This drum was most likely constructed by George Bernard in the Worcester, Mass. plant. Thanks to all that have helped me with information on the drum. Hoping to find it a good home. Please feel free to pm me here or email to mikelayton@bellsouth if you have any questions. I accept paypal and ship quickly. Thanks for checking it out.

$ 450 (or best offer) shipped and insured US48.

I read that many of the drums constructed by George Bernard had black interiors. The ones made later by his son Robert George Bernard (late 50's-70's) were not black inside and had the RGB initials inside.
