For those who dont know.... Last viewed: 7 minutes ago

I shipped my slingerland items to John in OZ today. I was already at the post office earlier to ship some other items and get an idea to give John what the shipping would be to ship the Sling items. So later when I went back to ship Johns package I asked the man for delivery confirmation just like I had done with other items I had sent in the U.S. earlier. He tells me "you cant get confirmation for international shipping." I thought that was odd. I also thought if there was something else they could do he would tell/offer me that. Well he didn't, UNTIL after I paid and was about to leave the office! Hello Mr. Postman!!!!

My point is only to let it be known for those who dont already that there are options for confirmation of international items even if they dont call it "delivery confirmation."

I dont ship stuff often because I dont sell that often. Any tips are welcomed!

Curtis, my post lady said some amount of tracking at least can be done with the customs number, so I provide that to buyers, for what it's worth.

The service is USPS Priority Mail International..

They generate a 12 or so digit tracking number..

It is good in that you can follow it from where it was lodged, through to OZ customs, when it clears customs it usually arrives at your local PO the next day..

(Handy too if you want to sneak it into the house before the wife spots it)

It doesn't matter what country you live in... 'some things' are just universal! LOL
